The early 1920's were heydays for the cameo-glass in the Gallé-style. Loetz joined this tendency and produced vases, bowls, flowerstands, dresser sets, table lamps and lamp shades in double or triple overlaid glass with etched decors. |

From 1926 to 1929 Loetz
was commissioned to produce a number of overlaid vases with etched decors , which on the
customer's request, should bear different signatures. At that time there wasn't any
business crisis that could have forced Loetz to comply with such demands. It rather seems
to be a common policy that glass works helped each other when large orders had to be
produced in a short time. So it wasn't unusual that Loetz put signatures like
"Richard", "Lucidus", "Veles", "Velez" or
"Lutetia" on its etched vases.
