Silberiris - Extruded Handles

Note: Some of the most technically difficult shapes and decors produced by Loetz were created in the Silberiris decor. Here we present a very difficult glass technique known as ""herausgezogen"" or ""extruded"" where the handles - sometimes as many as four - are created by pulling or extruding pieces of hot glass from the body of the vessel and then working it back into the vessel into a specific design some twisting and turning up towards the top.
