Silberiris w Marquetry - 1901

Note: Some of the most technically difficult shapes and decors produced by Loetz were created in the Silberiris decor. Here we present a very difficult glass technique known as " marquetry" where a second color of glass is pressed or "marvered" into the body of the vessel while it is still hot and worked into a specific design of leaves or flowers.
